I Say: Career Path

“The career path of a graduate engineer – from a nobody to an executive engineer in 3 years time, then senior engineer in 5-7 years, manager/professional engineer in 10 yrs. ”

Bullsh*t. A person’s career path is yet to be discovered.

I Say: Opportunities

Opportunities don’t come knocking on your door often. Fix the DOORBELL!

Opportunity & Door

I Say: Ambition

Ambitions come along the way. When one couldn’t be achieved, there’s always another…

HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY, PROTON!

Keep it up PROTON! Let ‘em hear you roar! =)

Oh, what’s the rush?

The mind goes on and on about what’s going to happen next.

Next! Next! Next! Oh, come on get the clock to tick faster! Oh dear, look at the time! Now what?

The mind too has the ability of killing the time.

The ticking stops. Short and sharp. Slowly it begins to tick backwards to the day misery/victory have put the record in the lives of many.

“When one has nothing to do with life, nothing in life has anything to do with him,” says I.

What is the right thing to do then? If skipping the present and always looking forward to the future is the way to live, there will never be a present day. On the other hand, if blocking the present and always looking back at the time we had lived once is the way to mourn over life, there will never be a future.

Living right, living fine, living life. “Life is about what is here in front of us,” says I again. Nobody has the right to steal what is here with us today, and nobody can change what is laid for us in the days that follow.

Conclusion: It is already proven in our life experience that, our actions today will result to whatever is going to happen tomorrow. Whatever happened in the past, reflects our actions for today.

Note: this is just a brief perspective on life, from the mind of the author.

99, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10?

This year, we’re going to have to get used to writing the date with a “/10″ after 365 days of writing the date “/09″. :)

Again, as an annual “ritual”, people will go about New Year’s Resolution after reviewing whatever important events that have gone by the year 2009. I personally have my own resolution, which is – well, indifferent than the rest: Make the best out of 2010″. Simply short and brief, yet meaningful. Whatever goes with it. It means whatever I do, I will have to do it the best for the sake of doing it. Whatever crosses the path, I will have to deal with it the best I possibly can just for the sake of moving on.

Career is a subject that always pops-up annually too. What’s going to happen in your career, change of career path, stepping the ladder of career, etc. How about for those who have just got their scrolls? And how about those who have gotten their scrolls ages ago but seems to be seeking every nook and corner for a suitable job? Don’t talk about being fussy, but the chances, really.

This year, I guess I just have to go with the flow. Decided on what I want. But I know things will change here and there. Just have to be prepared, right? I’m ready. For all I know, this world is temporary. But I’m enjoying it nevertheless. :)
